Özet
This study, which deals with the İzmir folk songs in the Bağlama books of the Fine Arts High School, is a descriptive study. ‘Document Analysis’ methods were used to access the data of the research, and ‘Content Analysis’ methods were used to analyze the data reached. The study is limited to 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th Grade Bağlama books and 7 İzmir folk songs in the books. In the study, it has been tried to examine İzmir folk songs in terms of their use as music education material. In addition, by drawing attention to the musical characteristics of İzmir folk songs, it is aimed to reveal that they can be used as educational material in different dimensions of music education. According to the data obtained in the analysis of İzmir folk songs; it has been seen that 7 folk songs belonging to the city center and Bergama are included in the books. On the basis of grade, it was seen that folk songs were given the most at the 11th Grade level, and the least at the 12th Grade level. It has been understood that all of the folk songs are in Kırık Hava type, predominantly in 9-beat tempos and in 7 different tones. It has been understood that the folk songs are evaluated under the titles of ‘repertoire’ and ‘Zeybek Tavrı’ in the books. According to the findings obtained; It is among the results that İzmir folk songs can be used at different grade levels, that they can be used for Zeybek Tavrı education and repertoire in Bağlama education, and that İzmir folk songs can also be used in various dimensions of music education. © (2023), (T.C.
