dc.description.abstractTürk İslam devletlerinin en önemli örgün eğitim kurumu olan medreseler, Osmanlı Devleti'ne Selçuklulardan miras kalan bir sistem üzerine kurulmuştur. Devletin kuruluşundan XX. yüzyıla kadar da Osmanlı eğitim sisteminin önemli bir unsuru olmuştur. Bu çalışmamızda T.C. Cumhurbaşkanlığı Devlet Arşivleri Başkanlığı Osmanlı Arşivi'nde bulunan H. 1273 (M. 1856-1857) Tarihli İstanbul'daki 24-45 Numaralı Medreselerin Nüfus Defteri incelenmiş ve defterde elde edilen veriler değerlendirilmiştir. Tezin giriş bölümünde medreselerin tarihî süreç içerisinde geçirdiği gelişim ve dönüşüm üzerinden bilgiler verilmiştir. Birinci bölümde Osmanlı medrese teşkilatı hakkında bilgiler verilmiştir. İkinci bölümde Osmanlı Dönemi'ndeki medreselerin mevcudunun nasıl tespit edildiğine, Osmanlıdaki nüfus sayımları ve bu sayımların tutulduğu defterlere ve bu defterler içerisinde hususi olarak medreselerdeki mevcudun tespiti için tutulan defterlere dair bilgiler ve değerlendirmeler yapılmıştır. Üçüncü bölümde 438 Numaralı defterin transkripsiyonu ve değerlendirilmesi yapılmıştır. ANAHTAR KELİMELER: Âsitane, medrese, talebe, nüfus, yoklama defteri
dc.description.abstractMadrasas, the most important formal educational institutions of Turkish Islamic states, were established on a system inherited from the Seljuks to the Ottoman Empire. They remained an important component of the Ottoman education system from the founding of the state until the 20th century. In this study, the Population Register of Medreses Nos. 24-45 in Istanbul, dated H. 1273 (M. 1856-1857), found in the Ottoman Archives of the Presidency of the Turkish Republic Presidential Archives, was examined and the data obtained from the register was evaluated. The introduction of the thesis provides information on the development and transformation of madrasas throughout history. The first chapter provides information on the Ottoman madrasa organisation. The second chapter contains information and evaluations on how the number of madrasas in the Ottoman period was determined, the population censuses in the Ottoman Empire, the registers in which these censuses were recorded, and the registers kept specifically for determining the number of madrasas.
