Bu tezde, 5. , 6. , 7. ve 8. sınıflardan toplam 77 ilköğretim öğrenciyle çalışma yapılmıştır. Fen Bilgisi ve Matematik dersleri ile ilgili olmak üzere her sınıf için 4 er arama görevi öğretmenler tarafından belirlenmiştir. Her öğrenci genel ticari bir arama motorunu kullanarak arama yapmıştır. Elde edilen veri ile tıklama karakteristikleri, arama performansları, eğitim içeriğinin kalitesi ve arama motorunun bu tür sorgularda ilgili cevap bulabilme etkinliği incelenmiştir.There is a recent interest in understanding search characteristics of children at elementary schools. In this paper, we present the results of a user study with 77 Turkish students from grades 5 through 8. The study is designed as a real life scenario where instructors of students prepared four search tasks per grade related to math and science courses. Each student searched for information using a general purpose commercial search engine.
