Sınıf) Etkinliklerine Yansıması(Malatya Turgut Özal Üniversitesi, 2021) Yıldırım, Nurşen; Kavruk, HasanThe purpose of this research is to evaluate the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade textbooks prepared according to the 2019 Turkish Language Curriculum in terms of including speaking acquisitions. For this purpose, the activities in the books were scanned, and the activities related to speaking skills were associated with the speaking achievements in the program. The research was carried out with the scanning model, which is one of the qualitative research designs. Descriptive analysis was used to explain and interpret the data obtained through document review. As a result of the research, it was seen that speaking was the least used skill in Turkish textbook activities. While the number of speaking activities shows a balanced distribution to the themes in the 5th, 6th and 8th grade books; There is no such balance in the 7th grade book. In addition, while some gains accumulated, some gains were not addressed at all. As a matter of fact, not all of the speaking outcomes in the program were reflected in the activities in the 7th and 8th grade Turkish textbooks. The speaking activities in the textbooks are more “prepared speaking” at every grade level. shaped around gain. It was determined that the activities were quite shallow in terms of speaking strategies, and the richest book in this respect was the 6th grade Turkish textbook. These determinations reveal that speaking achievements are not reflected in Turkish textbooks within a plan and system.
