Öğe Factors Affectıng The Indıvıdual Instrument Preferences Of The Students Receıvıng Vocatıonal Musıc Educatıon(İnönü Üniversitesi, 2021) Akbudak,Hayri; Taşdemir,TunaOne of the factors affecting the learning processes of students receiving vocational music education is individual instrument preferences. Factors such as students' body structure, environmental factors, type of music, and characteristics of educational institutions are effective in their instrument preferences. In this study, it is aimed to examine the factors that affect the individual instrument preferences of the students who receive professional music education at the undergraduate level during their undergraduate education. The data used in the research were collected through a structured interview form consisting of 13 questions in order to get the opinions of the participants about their demographic characteristics and instrument preferences. The views obtained by using the content analysis method were analyzed and interpreted thematically. The population of the research consists of institutions that receive vocational music education at undergraduate level in Turkey, and the sample consists of music education departments of five different universities. In the study, 3rd and 4th grade students (f=165) studying at the universities selected as the sample in the 2018-2019 academic year were determined as the study group. According to the data obtained, it was concluded that the factors such as "love for the instrument", "experience gained in the instrument", "teacher", "type of music" and "school facilities", which were determined to be effective in the instrument preferences of the participants, were in the majority.
