Öğe A Research On Turkish Medicines And Policies(Malatya Turgut Özal Üniversitesi, 2024) Ak, SeblaThe pharmaceutical industry is one of the sectors with high added value, where many separate oligopolistic manufacturers come together. The pharmaceutical industry, known globally as the third sector, is one of the oldest established sectors in Turkey. The purpose of this study; The aim is to analyze the Turkish pharmaceutical industry. The studies obtained were evaluated by searching the keywords "Pharmaceutical expenditures, Pharmaceutical industry, Pharmaceutical market, Turkish pharmaceutical industry" in the PubMed, Science Direct, Scopus databases and "Pharmaceutical expenditures, Pharmaceutical industry, Turkish pharmaceutical industry" in the Google Scholar database. In the study, the most up-to-date data on the subject was used and a descriptive analysis was presented. According to this situation, Turkey ranks 21st in the world in 2022 with a pharmaceutical market of 109.8 billion TL. The Turkish pharmaceutical industry has reached a sales volume of 3.315 billion TL in 2022. Currently, 855 organizations, with 103 pharmaceutical production facilities and 13 raw material production facilities producing at international standards, with more than 44 thousand employees, have exported more than 16 thousand products to Turkey and exported to approximately 185 countries. Turkey's pharmaceutical exports were 1.92 billion dollars and imports were 5.32 billion dollars. Therefore, Türkiye is one of the net importer countries in the pharmaceutical industry. In line with these data, it can be stated that the pharmaceutical industry is one of the most competitive sectors that helps innovative activities. There are very rare studies on the pharmaceutical industry in Turkey, and this study was prepared to fill the gap in question.Öğe Scabıes in Terms of The One Health Concept(Malatya Turgut Özal Üniversitesi, 2024) Ak, Sebla; Arınır, Melek EceAccording to the World Health Organization, "One Health" is an approach of designing and implementing programs, policies, legislation, and research where multiple sectors communicate and work together to achieve better public health outcomes. One Health is an approach that focuses on emerging infectious diseases in the context of human, animal, and environmental interactions, as well as being a concept that supports multidisciplinary or interdisciplinary approaches to zoonotic diseases. In this study, the disease Scabies is examined within the framework of the "One Health" concept, focusing particularly on its effects on human health and the management of this disease in terms of public health. The definition of Scabies in the global health system, its symptoms, prevention methods, and situations arising during this process are explained. The effectiveness of the "One Health" approach in creating a process to control and prevent the spread of the disease is emphasized. This approach, while focusing on human health in the management of the disease, also highlights the importance of considering environmental and socio-economic factors. The importance of public health policies, education programs, and community-based interventions in the control of scabies, and the effectiveness of these strategies are discussed.
