Akdeniz Kadın Çalışmaları ve Toplumsal Cinsiyet Dergisi , 1 (2) , 157-176 .Özet
Coşku çekiciliği, insanların rakiplerini geride bırakarak belirli bir amaç doğrultusunda harekete
geçmesini hedefleyen bir duygusal çekicilik türüdür. 2.
Bu amaçla “All World Wars” sitesi tarafından belirlenen 2.
propaganda amaçlı kullanıldığı görülmüştür The enthusiasm appeal is a type of emotional appeals that aims to encourage the action of people
for a specific purpose, namely eliminating their competitors. In World War II, the Soviet Union effectively
used enthusiasm appeal for the purpose of propaganda in order to mobilize the Soviet people against the
occupation by Nazi Germany. It was seen that women were frequently portrayed in Soviet propaganda
posters used in the enthusiasm appeal. Within the scope of the study, the attempt was made to try to find
out how and in what way the women were represented for the purpose of propaganda in Soviet propaganda
posters in World War II. For this purpose, 7 propaganda posters from the All World Wars site were chosen
by using the purposeful sampling method. Soviet propaganda posters used in World War II in the context
of the enthusiasm appeal were examined using the semiotic analysis method as a qualitative research method. The posters were analysed within the framework of the semiotic method of the French Linguist
Roland Barthes. In the findings, in the context of the enthusiasm appeal; it was seen that female
representations were used for the purpose of propaganda so that Soviet men fought decisively against the
Axis Powers and the Soviet women attended to the production areas behind the front.
