Pandemi Sürecinde Kadın: Bir Bilançoya Dair Düşünceler

Abstract

2019 sonlarında Çin’de ortaya çıkıp kısa sürede dünyaya yayılan Covid-19 pandemisi, sosyal, siyasal, ekonomik ve kültürel olarak küresel ölçekte birçok değişime neden oldu. Sözü edilen bu değişimlerin en önemlileri sosyal alanda yaşandı ve toplumsal kesimlerin bütününde derin etkiler meydana getirdi. Pandemi süreci ve zorunlu karantina uygulamalarından olumsuz anlamda en çok çok etkilenen toplumsal grup ise kadınlar oldu. Ev içinde aldıkları sorumluluk arttı, işlerini kaybettiler ve muhtelif şiddet türlerine maruz kaldılar. Bütün bunlara ilave olarak pandemi koşulları tarafından tetiklenen yoğun stres faktörleri nedeniyle psikolojik gerilimler de yaşadılar. Bu çalışmada pandemi sürecinin kadınlar üzerindeki etkileri değerlendirilmek istenmiştir. Pandeminin olumsuz etkilerinin ciddi bir bölümünün toplumsal cinsiyet temelli yerleşik kimlik algısı olduğuna işaret edilmiş, cinsiyet ekseninde kadınların özgül özelliklerini dikkate alan korunaklı alanın tahkim edilmesi gerektiği vurgulanmıştır. Toplumsal varoluşun belirleyici bir öğesi olarak kadının varoluşsal konumunun önemine dikkat çekilmiştir.

The Covid-19 pandemic, which emerged in China in late 2019 and spread to the world in a short time, caused many changes social, political, economical and cultural fields on a global scale. The most important of these changes were experienced in the social field and had profound effects on all social groups. Women were the social group most negatively affected by the pandemic process and forced quarantine practices. The responsibility they took in the home increased, they lost their jobs and were subjected to various forms of violence. In addition to all this, they also experienced psychological tensions due to the intense stress factors triggered by the pandemic circumstances. In this study, it was aimed to evaluate the effects of the pandemic process on women. It was pointed out that a serious part of the negative effects of the pandemic is the perception of established identity based on gender, and it was emphasized that the sheltered area that takes into account the specific characteristics of women on the gender axis should be fortified. And it was underlined the importance of the existential position of women as a determining element of social existence.
