Türkiye finansal gelişiminde enerji tüketiminin rolü

Abstract

Ülkeler açısından en sağlam gelişim temellerinden biri şüphesiz üreterek büyümek, özellikle de teknoloji üreterek, hammadde tüketerek ve daha fazla enerji tüketerek bu büyümeyi gerçekleştirmektir. Bu çalışmanın amacı Türkiye’de enerji tüketimi, enerji ithalatı ile finansal gelişmişlik ve ekonomik büyüme arasındaki ilişkinin araştırılmasıdır. Çalışmanın dönemi 1970-2015’tir. Çalışmanın verileri Dünya Bankasının resmî sitesinden alınmıştır. Çalışmada yöntem olarak ARDL sınır testi yaklaşımı kullanılmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda uzun dönemde gerek finansal gelişmişlik gerekse ekonomik büyümenin bağımsız değişkenler ile arasında eşbütünleşme ilişkisinin var olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Kısa dönemde de bağımlı değişkenlerde meydana gelen sapmaların bir sonraki dönemde düzeltilerek uzun dönem dengesine geri döndüklerine dair anlamlı sonuçlar tespit edilmiştir.

One of the most robust development bases for countries is undoubtedly to grow by producing, especially by producing technology, consuming raw materials and consuming more energy. The aim of this study to investigate the relationship between financial development and economic growth with electricity consumption, rent of natural resources, carbon emissions, and energy imports in Turkey. The period of the study is 1970-2015. The data of the study was taken from the official website of the World Bank. In this study, ARDL boundary test approach was used. As a result of the study, it is determined that there is a cointegration relationship between financial development and economic growth and independent variables in the long run. In the short term, the deviations in the dependent variables were corrected in the next period and significant results were found on return to the long-term balance.
